Overview

This 5 days Kenya safari to Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru safari covers the top Kenya wildlife parks: Masai Mara National game reserve famous for its population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and also yearly migration of zebra & wildebeest which occurs from July to October from Serengeti in Tanzania. Lake Nakuru National park, found in the foot of the great rift valley has an elevation of 1754 meters above sea level and is known for the presence of the big five except elephant and bird’s sanctuary (flamingos) this is the only park you are assured of seeing the rhinos in black and white.

Day 1 – Masai Mara National Reserve

Meet upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta Airport off your early morning flight arriving at 0500hrs by our tour leader who will welcome you into the country and brief you on your entire safari answering any question you may have and introduce you to your driver-guide (breakfast at own arrangements along the way). Depart for the drive to Masai Mara with a brief stop at escapement overlooking the Great Rift Valley with a great view of its beauty; you will arrive in Masai Mara early in the afternoon with a short game drive en route to arrive in time for late lunch and check-in. Afternoon game drives in search of a game where most of the animals you are likely to see are elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, different times of gazelles, birds, cheetah, leopard among many others returning back before dark falls. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve!

Today, you will spend the whole day on game drives. Since it is a private safari, in discussion with your driver-guide the decision on how you want to spend the day is at your disposal. Like you can decide to have an early morning game drives returning back in time for breakfast, mid-morning game drives before lunch and another game drives late in the afternoon, or even have an early morning game drives with picnic breakfast thus having the entire morning on game drives returning back in time for lunch or even have an early morning breakfast and depart with picnic lunch thus spending the entire day on game drives returning back at your own time.

You will later visit a Masai village, to be greeted by traditional singing and dancing, learn about their nomadic culture, revel in their warrior lifestyle, listen to tales of battles with the animals of the mara. Take a moment to visit their homes and understand their unique way of life whilst you’re visiting their ancestral, tribal home. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Day 3 Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

Early morning breakfast, depart for the drive out of Masai Mara with morning game drives en route. You will arrive at Lake Nakuru National park early in time for a short game drive on the way to the lodge for lunch and check-in. Afternoon game drives in search of the game around the lake where you will see thousands of flamingos, pelicans, rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, zebras among others.

Dinner & overnight at your camp/lodge.

Day 4 Lake Nakuru National Park – Nairobi

Depart after breakfast with enroute game drive depending on your hotel location and drive back to Nairobi. Arrive in time of hot lunch at the famous carnivore restaurant and later be transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
